The first part of the Old Carsaig Road — from the Tavyallich end to the SSEN substation — has been upgraded, with thanks to financial support from neighbouring landowners who use the track, and from Esmée Fairbairn Foundation funds under the (now ended) Access & Inclusion Project.
Further funding for the remainder of the track is not currently available to TI, but on 9 September we spent time on some minor renovations to make the path less puddly.
Options for a major upgrade of the western stretch from the SSEN substation towards Carsaig could perhaps be from donations from those who use the track regularly, or a wider fund-raising event for money to do this work.
