Marsh Fritillary Web Counts

Aug 28, 2026 | Land

Some photos from last week’s marsh fritillary web count on community land.
On the first photo, the top arrow points to the caterpillars; the bottom arrow points to one of the webs in the cluster.
Other photos show: male keeled skimmer; female common hawker; grass-of-Parnassus (Parnassia palustris); white-tailed bumble bee on heather; Scotch argus
We will be doing another count soon, so please get in touch if you want to help. Sal (ranger@tayvallichinitiative.org)
